Stone Table Lamp

A series of lighting and accessories inspired by the materiality of the same marble used to build the Taj Mahal.

The hard, semi-precious surface which bears a unique fingerprint has transfixed architects, sculptors and designers for millennia, and for us too this is the dream material - tough yet tactile, heavy and long-lasting.

The Stone Table Lamp comprises a halo hollowed from white Morwad marble mounted on a tube with a central 'floating' ball in the form of a brass tipped bulb.

The stone is cut to the thinnest possible depth, so it appears to be semi-transluscent, emphasizing its patterned surface and casting illumination on to the surface below.
